OnePlus U1S is launched in India and Realme TV also launched its 4K 2021 TV range. Now here builds the confusion regarding which is a better TV? This is what I'll tell you in this video.
Today I'll show you a unique comparison between Realme TV 4K and OnePlus U1S
Let's talk about their designs.
- They both come in slim bezel designs, and their screen to body ratio is more than 90%, which is very good.
Talking about resolution-
- they both have 4K Ultra HD 3840x2160Resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. OnePlus comes with MEMC based on software which works at 60 FPS; but it is missing in Realme TV. But it doesn't brings vibrant change in picture quality because Software based MEMC at 60 FPS causes almost no change in motion blur and it's good for nothing.
Now let's talk about their panel.
They come with 8 bit + FRC VA/IPS panel with 280 nits peak HDR Brightness. They both different HDR format supports. OnePlus comes with HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG support whereas Realme TV supports Dolby Vision. Both the brands haven't declared their contrast ratio because even they don't know whether they are supplying VA panel or an IPS panel. Both panels have different contrast ratios and hence it cannot be declared. The picture quality provided by their 280 nits peak HDR brightness can be summed up in one word- AVERAGE. I have explained it that better the brightness, better is the picture quality.More brightness means more backlight and good color visibility on scree; which means good picture quality.Brightness doesn't mean changing contrast. This brightness is measured in nits and both these TV have 280 nits peak (maximum) HDR brightness.
They both have same panel but their brand names are different. How can I say that they both have same panel and same peak HRD brightnessbut different HDR formats? OnePlus has HDR10, HRD10+ and HLG support whereas Realme TV has only Dolby Vision support. Both the formats are completely different. To understand it, let's see 1 more review. This is Kia Seltos and it is Hyundai Creta. They both are made on same platform, same transmission have been used in them and they both have same engine.
But despite these similarities, they have different costs, different features, different comfort and different drive. You feel the difference while driving these cars. These both cars are of same companies but are marketed on different brand names. Exactly same can be seen in Realme and OnePlus TVs. Same panels are procured with some different features and are sold with different brand names so that you see only these 2 TV in market and buy any one. But at the end, you'll bring the TV of same company.
Then what is the point of giving different HDR formats? It is simple- you getthe license of Dolby Vision for 500 panels out of 1000 TVs and for the rest 500 you get HDR license. That's it. There different formats leads to a slight change in DCI P3 ratio which is the parameter to test Wide Color Gamut. OnePlus has 93% & Realme TV has 90%. 3% makes hardly any difference.
Let's talk about featureson which Realme and OnePlus want you to focus on. OnePlus has 8.3 million pixels; which are present in every 4K TV. OnePlus has 10 bit color depth; actually every 8 bit FRC panel has 10 bit color depth only.
OnePlus TV has survived -25° Temperature Test and I am waiting for temperature to drop this low in India.
OnePlus TV has gone trough 5000mt. Altitude test which means I can carry it on Mount Everest.
Last but not the least- its 30W audio has been tuned with Dyna Audio. I don't know why I remember OnePlus' Hassle Trat camera in OnePlus 9 was highly appreciated in the world.
Similarly, Realme TV 10.7 Billion Colors which is exactly present in all 4K TVs with 8 bit FRC panel, same as in Realme TV. According to some reviewers and Realme TV, it has a super bright panel and I must say that your eyes would dazzle from such high- 280 nits peak HRD brightness.
Realme has conducted -20° temperature test. I think OnePlus won it by conducting -25° temp test.
Realme TV has conducted 760mm or 30 inch drop test, which means they dropped their TV from 30inch.
Well! I can never show you this test and you should avoid it too.
These are the features on which these companies want you to focus on.
Acc to these companies you must not focus on other small features like panel, peak HDR brightness and contrast ratio because they are irrelevant while buying a TV.
Don't try to be a fan of a particular brand. Instead you
should focus on the quality of the product. Friends this was my opinion about
Realme and OnePlus U1S TV. My aim is not to tell you that you shouldn't buy
these TVs. Instead I give honest reviews so that you can spend your hard-earned
money on a good TV with good picture quality. I compare these TV with the TVs
of their level.
