Do you need a fan in kitchen or desk fan in office? Do you want a personal air cooler or pedestial fan? Which appliance will you buy? The answer is this.
Today I'll show Symphony Duet and Symphony Duet i-s review.
Symphony's Duet i-s
- It's fan comes in this kind of cylindrical box with 1 pedestal stand and a base.
- It is easy to join pedestal stand. Just press the base on it and that's it. This is our stand and over it is Symphony Duet i-s fan.
- Before discussing its features, I'll tell you its specs.
- There is a blower of 55W which us equal to any pedestal fan, and that's impressive.
- It comes with surround air flow, honeycomb pads, touch panel control, an ice chamber and a water level indicator.
- This is the LED light which is neither too bright nor too low but there is no option to switch it off.
- Its air throw rate is 15ft and that's super impressive.
- I have enjoyed its air within 10ft.
- Its height is equal to my length while I am siting.
- Its body is made if good quality plastic and it weighs 5.7Kg with the pedestal or stand.
- Enough about specs, now let's discuss its working mechanism. It is easy to fill water.
- Open the ice chamber, fill water in it and enjoy cool air.
- There are different controls for fan, pump, and rotation, which is very nice.
- It can be easily used as a pedestal fan without pump in humid areas. When we operate coolers without air water then coolers get damaged but it is not the same in these pedestal fans.
- You can use it with or without pump.
- You can place it anywhere- kitchen, office or even room. You can use it as both pedestal and table fan.
- Let's check the noise level of blower. Its noise level are less (approx 35dB).
- Let's see the honeycomb pads. There is a dust filter in front of pads which preventspads & you'll have to clean them less.
If you need a smaller fan for desk or table, then this is the product for you-
This is Symphony's Duet cooling fan.
- There is no different between the specifications of Duet and Duet i-s.
- There are just 3 differences-
- Duet i-s has pedestal which isn't there in Duet,
- Duet i-s has touch panel but Duet has knob control,
- Duet i-s has LED on top but it is missing in Duet.
- Another minor difference is that Duet weights 4.2Kg.
- Let's operate it. Put water inside it and turn on the fan via knob along with pump and rotation.
- You can operate it according to you.
- These fan rotate or oscillate and you get one type of louvers (front)- that can be adjusted up and down.
- Air flow is same because of same inner machinery.
- As usual, you get good cool air. Using the handle on top, they can be carried easily.
- Now let's put ice and test.
- I have put 3-4 ice cubes and I feel that the air is a bit more cooler now. Friends this is not a room cooler.
- This is a personal fan & can be placed in kitchen, office or in room.
- The good thing is that these can be used in humid areas because of pump on/off option and this will not damage the pump, which is contrary to other coolers whose pump gets damaged whenwe use it without pump.
- Last but not the least, the room temperature will not decrease due to this cooler.
- Let's compare them with another pedestal or table fan.
- This is a normal pedestal fan and along with it is Duet.
- There is not much difference in height but let's test its air.
- A normal fan gives more air and rotates fast. Symphony Duet gives cooler air and rotates at normal speed. The same difference can be seen in table fans.
- There rotation speed is almost same but Symphony gives cooler air.
- This is obvious because both Symphony Air Coolers have pump & they also have the option to switch off pump & use it as normal fan. But both Symphony Air Coolers have lesser airthrow rate.
- Duet i-s with touch control panel costs ₹6,000 and
- Duet with knob control costs ₹5,000.
- let's discuss pros and cons.
- They both are good fans and can fulfill you need of pedestal and table fan.
- These are portable, have good air flow and consume less wattage.
- But aren't there any cons?
- Well, there are 2 cons- these 2 screws have to be opened to clean honeycomb pads.
- It is difficult to open these 2 screws.
- There rotation have to be closed with another button & this's the2nd con.
- Closing the fan & pump doesn't mean the rotation will be turned off.
- You have to close it from another button.
- It would have been good if there was a single button to switch them off.
- I know its not a big thing, but you should know it.
